My name is Yodo Kawamura. I have been appointed as the minister of Los Angeles Church in December 1st, 2007. As for my faith, I was born and grew up in the RKK family, and I am at the third generation of the faith. I have been spending a wonderful life thanks to Founder and President Niwano's teachings, so I have a great joy and gratitude, and I am extremely happy to disseminate the Buddhist teachings. First of all, my pledge is to devote myself to do bodhisattva way to assist people's happiness by sharing our joy and Buddha's grace through the study of Buddhism. In the monthly magazine, "January 2008 Kosei", Founder Niwano and President Niwano said, "Buddha's wish is to save suffering people, and ordinary people wish to be saved from their sufferings. Therefore, Buddha's wish and ordinary people's wish is the one. Buddha left the unprecedented law, "Lotus Sutra", which was to save all people in the worst era in the history. We, the members of RKK, are to become mediators between Buddha and suffering people. By practicing Lotus Sutra, as we master it, we will be able to help people from the suffering, and to shine their dark mind with Buddha's wisdom. To take care of each of them, one by one, our aim is to cooperate with one another to bring people to real happiness filled with joy. Step by step we will reach the fulfillment of the Founder Niwano’s and President Niwano's wish for World Peace. Let me join you in sharing and extending our joy and hope. Gassho Rev.
